CAD Technician

Amber Valley Stone Limited is one of the leading cast stone manufacturers and currently supplies an extensive range of products for use within residential and commercial schemes throughout the UK.

As part of its commitment to grow, the board of Directors strive to bring high levels of customer service and quality assured products to the construction market. We are full manufacturing members of the UK Cast Stone Association (UKCSA) who are known within the housebuilding industry for the high quality and service levels required from its members.

To promote and support our recognition within the industry, the company is looking to recruit the position of an CAD Technician. As a forward-thinking business, we pride ourselves on our professional yet personal service and are looking for a candidate with excellent communication and customer service skills. This role will be answer to the Technical Director.

Requirements:

• Competent use of the AutoCAD drawing package and able to produce detailed drawings for both Client and Production purposes
• Good ability to read Architectural Drawings
• Good communication skills, dealing with clients, architects and engineers
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• Working closely with key members of the team
• Well organised working in a busy environment
• Construction Background preferable
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Additional Information:

• Competitive renumeration subject to experience
• Six-month probationary period applies
• Full time, permanent position
• Hours 8:30 to 5:00pm with 30min lunch break
• Holidays 22 days rising to 25 days for every full rolling year plus bank holidays

Experienced Precast / Cast Stone Estimator

To promote and support our recognition within the industry, the company is looking to recruit the position of an Experienced Precast / Cast Stone Estimator. As a forward-thinking business, we pride ourselves on our professional yet personal service and are looking for a candidate with excellent communication and customer service skills. This role will be answer to the Commercial Director.

Requirements:

• Previous experience of Estimating.
• Analysing construction drawings, bills of quantities and other project documentation to estimate costs.
• Product knowledge preferable but not essential.
• Researching, sourcing, negotiating, and obtaining the best prices from suppliers.
• Staying aware of the latest construction guidelines and requirements.
• Inputting on decisions on whether to bid or no bid on projects.
• Working closely with key members of the team.
• Engaging with prospective and existing customers via telephone, email and videocalls.
• Maintaining excellent client relationships through superior customer service skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Wet Cast / GRC Cast Stone Finisher

Amber Valley Stone Limited is one of the leading cast stone manufacturers and currently supplies an extensive range of products for use within residential and commercial schemes throughout the UK.

Previous experience is an advantage, but training will be given to a suitable candidate.

Required Attributes:

Must be physically fit and able to work or train in various processes.

Must be hard working with good time keeping and the ability to multi task and work off their own initiative as well as part of a team.

Full training given.

Trainee minimum wage, experience to be discussed on application

Immediate start available.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 6.00am – 2.30pm.
